Illinois will have a Primary Election on March 18, 2014.

Unofficial Election Results for contested races will be posted on Election Night. Results are unofficial as we must wait for "late arriving ballots" which must be postmarked by March 17, 2014, and arrive by April 1, 2014. Results will be canvassed by April 8, 2014, then the Offical Election Results will be posted. The election results were canvassed on April 7, 2014, and for Official Results click here.
In a Primary Election, voters must declare political party affiliation. Voters can request a NonPartisan ballot which would allow them to vote on referenda only if they do not wish to declare political party affiliation.
The last day to file a notarized intent to be a write-in candidate is January 16, 2014, by 5 p.m. For a list of those filed click here.
The last day to register to vote or report an address change and vote at the polling place is February 18, 2014. Residents can register by mail or in our office, by precinct committeeman or at State agencies. For information about registering click here. To download a mail in application that must be postmarked by February 18, 2014, click here. If a resident fails to register or change by the February 18th deadline they can "Grace Register/Vote". Call the office for information - 244-8020 Ext. 3 option 2.
